HAPPY 2019! Thank you to everyone who put up with my lack of posting last year. I don’t want to make promises I can’t keep so I am not committing to a schedule on when I will post, but I will try to do it more often. Trying to focus on my career and still making time for blogging has been a juggling act. Instead of being the ring leader I have let it make me just the second act. This year I want to really do all the things I love: my career, blogging, cosplaying, and photography.
My aesthetic for work is composed of 2 elements my red lipstick and my red boots. Growing up I loved the color black and wore it religiously, but once I hit college I wanted to introduce more color to my life. I did and I love the new found shades of mustard, orange, and teal that adorn my closet, but nothing beats a classic black and white with a dash of fiery red.
Again as mentioned in my last post my office is really lax with their dress code. I can wear leggings without anyone batting an eyelash. Though they have a relaxed dress code, I still try to dress up my jeans as much as I can. I always pair my jeans with a nice statement shirt, I found this one at ShopBop ($137) and loved the structure of it. Solid colored statement shirts are always a fun way to add a modern twist to your wardrobe while still staying classic. I finished the look with my new favorite pair of boots ($89.99), I have found every excuse to wear them at least once a week.
HMU (Hair and Make Up): No look is complete without hair and makeup. I wore my hair in a tight pony tail with a middle part. I used Tresemme ‘Tres Two Extra Hold’ ($5.99) to slick my hair. I went with a simple eye look using a transition shade close to my skin tone and topped it off with a wing. I used both Huda Beauty Obsessions Palette in ‘Warm Brown’ ($27) and the Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner ($22). I own a lot of red lipsticks, but I love this one from Mellow Cosmetics ($16). Finished of the look with a Becca Highlighter in ‘Opal’ ($38).
