I’m a strong believer of cosplaying is for EVERYONE! Not everyone can sew or craft so here is one of my cosplays that has been COMPLETELY store bought/things I had in my closet already.

I wore this cosplay for the first time at my first NYCC back in 2014, but I never got photos taken in it because at the time I was really new to cosplaying. I wore it again for my friend Linda (ScreamLindax)’s cosplay networking event, Lights, Camera, Cosplay.
I’m a huge fan of Adventure Time and was extremely saddened when they announced their last episode, which aired on September 3rd. In high school I watched it everyday when I got home from school and now I watch it on Hulu when I get home from work.
This cosplay was simple and I put it together quickly with mostly things I already owned. The shirt I bought, while I worked at Garage 5 years ago ($8 with my employee discount), you can find a similar one at other stores or on Amazon. Though she wears a tight mini skirt I chose a skirt I had for years from Forever 21 ($15), no longer available, but you can find a similar one Amazon. To give it my flare of cosplay style I stuck some petticoats under it that were just lying around the house. Believe or not I already owned the Finn hat! I bought it in high school from Hot Topic, but it’s no longer available so check out Amazon. For the shoes just wear any black flats or black heels you have. The only item I bought specifically for this cosplay were the tube socks. I bought them on sale from American Apparel for $8.
**I know I’m missing some key elements in this cosplay such as the sword and backpack, but I couldn’t find them in stores last time I cosplayed her. Will update once I make/find these items.**
