Something that I’ve noticed since Spring has started is that you may not always want to dress for the outside weather, but more for the inside weather…

My office is comparable to the North Pole and if your office is anything like mine, that cute short-sleeved blouse won’t cut it. I have learned light jackets and blazers are the way to go. Since my office has a pretty relaxed and casual dress code, bare shoulders are allowed. Making it great for Spring/Summer in-office layering. With this outfit I chose a simple black boat neck tank top from GAP (tank is not available anymore) and paired it with white slacks from Banana Republic. When you’re outside in the warm weather the white slacks won’t absorb much heat, but will keep your legs warm indoors.
When it’s the warmer side of Spring I take my jacket or sweater in a canvas tote bag then put it on once I’m inside. For this outfit I chose a lightweight oversized blazer from Bershka. It’s heavy enough for indoors, but light enough to wear outside when it’s cool. It’s the perfect Spring jacket!
There are dozens of ways you can both dress for the indoor and outdoor temperatures. What are some of your favorite ways of keeping warm indoors while staying cool outdoors? Leave a comment below!
