It is the end of the month and I just mailed out my first Rocksbox back to them. For those who have never heard of Rocksbox, it is a monthly jewelry subscription/rental box. They send you 3 jewelry pieces a month ranging in price from $25 – $230 for $21/month. If you decide to keep an item the $21 you pay for the subscription goes towards the piece(s) you keep. If you keep all three items, you get an additional $10 off. For a free month trial, you can use my coupon code ‘okarinaoftimexoxo‘. I received this box for free for reviewing purposes, but that does not affect my views of this review. You can check out my past reviews of both things I have purchased as well as things I have received for free.
Before getting it I had made an account and a wishlist on their site with items in their store I already liked, which any subscriber can do. It gave the stylist an idea of what pieces I liked and my style. Then one day I came home to a reusable bubble mailer with a big ‘R’ and I was super excited to see what was inside. I took out the navy blue, rose gold, and pink box from the mailer and opened it. A pamphlet with the jewelry that came inside and their prices sat on top and under it wrapped in hip tissue paper were three velvet jewelry bags. The packaging alone was a 9.5/10. Check my InstaStory Highlights to see the packaging (@okarinaoftime_).

One of the pieces was a Slate adjustable necklace with a small geometric pendant, which was on my wishlist. The retail price is $65 and the Rocksbox member price is $50. It looked way better in person than it did online! I wore it almost every day to work since it was super versatile.

Next was my favorite piece of the set, which was a gold cuff by Aster. This retails for $60 and member price is $51. I absolutely love cuffs! I also wore this almost every day to work. I wish I had kept this piece, but I’m very bad at storing jewelry at the moment since I barely have any space in my room. Once I move out I can indulge in new jewelry.

The last but not least pieces were these Sophie Harper earrings. Retailing for $45 and member price $38, this was the one item not on my wishlist. I thought it matched beautifully with the other pieces. Before wearing them I used a cotton swab with alcohol to disinfect them which I usually do that with all earrings (I’m sort of a germaphobe). I also disinfected them before sending them back. I loved how they dangled and I think getting earrings were my favorite part of the Rocksbox because I lose earrings easily overtime. It’s nice getting a pair every month then giving them back without spending a ton of money to just lose them after 2 months. Again, I suck at storing jewelry! Another reason I loved the little jewelry box is because I kept all the pieces in there after wearing them.
Overall I was very pleased with the jewelry set I received. I didn’t end up keeping any of the items because I unfortunately did not have the room for them. I personally don’t own much jewelry and whats I did own got ruined when I moved back home. This subscription/rental box is perfect for me because I get new jewelry every month without having to keep it for long. It also helps me discover new styles of jewelry I may have not been able to explore. The jewelry quality is also very high, but I do wish the prices of the jewelry were a little more affordable. Overall I give it a 9/10.

Check out my outfit I crafted up with the jewelry pieces. Since here in New York our early spring has been a little chilly I layered a striped jumpsuit with a simple white sweater.
