I did this shoot with my friend Leonel recently. I’ve been going more monochromatic/ black & white with my looks lately.
This look’s inspiration came from the 90’s slip dress over a t-shirt trend. I paired my favorite mock neck (which I’ve worn too many times since I bought it a month ago), with my favorite plain maxi dress. Both clothing pieces should be a staple in anyone’s closet because you can create so many outfits with them.

The outfit was completed with another piece that hasn’t gone out of style, even after 100+ years, my hand dandy Converse. Converse shoes have been in my closet since I was in middle school and very prominent in my emo days when I would draw on them and put random quotes on them. With these, which are brand spanking new, I just added simple star studs. They were given to me by Converse to feature on my social channels.
This look is just one of many you can put together with the simple pieces you have in your closet.

Here is a picture of my best friend Carol’s cat. His name is Taco and “Even though he’s a house cat now, he was originally a bodega cat and could have followed in his mom’s footsteps.”
